Lake To Lake Trail
Big Creek Reservation

The 2.3 mile long connector trail extends 3.2 miles from the Big Creek all purpose trail at Lake Isaac to a trailhead on Eastland Road near Lake Abram.

The Lake to Lake Trail provides public access to the two largest remaining glacial pothole wetlands in Cuyahoga County, Lake Isaac and Lake Abram.

Lake Isaac is located off Big Creek Parkway in Big Creek Reservation, between Fowles Road and Main Street in Middleburg Heights.

The Prehistoric Play Pit, at the northern end of the new Lake to Lake Trail, features a play area with a full-size replica of a Mastodon skeleton, a creature that roamed this area thousands of years ago. The replica Mastodon is almost 25 feet long, made on a steel framework and covered with a durable fiberglass resin.

Children will be able to, and are encouraged to, play on and around the skeleton, which is anchored, in a sand pit. The model bones were made to actual size, and kids can explore the area to experience what it may be like to be a scientist on an actual dig site.

Please note: The trail on Hepburn Road between Bagley Road and Jefferson Parkway follows the city sidewalk.
