BUS DRIVER (PART-TIME)
PARK OPERATIONS
The Bus Driver (Part-time) provides safe transportation of groups or organizations to and from events and programs sponsored by Cleveland Metroparks.
Essential Functions:
- Provides safe and courteous operation of bus, and performs and completes proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections and forms.
- Reports maintenance concerns to Fleet Manager and Vehicle Mechanic.
- Resupplies bus as needed (First Aid, Park brochures, etc.)
- Maintains a clean driving record which includes an MVR review every 12 months.
- Performs general maintenance checks on bus daily.
- Washes bus and cleans interior of the bus
- Contacts program sponsors for confirmation of trip itinerary and/or special requests.
- Answers questions in a courteous professional manner pertaining to Zoo, Park Reservations or Cleveland Metroparks.
- Maintains a neat appearance and clean uniform.
- Exhibits professional courtesy and represents Cleveland Metroparks in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid Class “B” CDL license including airbrakes and P1 endorsement for Passengers.
- Clear driving record which includes an MVR review every 12 months
- Previous bus driving experience highly preferred
- Verifiable ability to develop and maintain positive customer relations and working relationships
- Excellent communications skills and strong customer service orientation
- Must possess good knowledge of Cleveland Metroparks programs, operations and geography.
- Proven ability to read and follow maps, as well as plan bus routes.
WAGE: $13.43 - $ 20.15 per hour. Typical hiring wage is $13.43 to $16.79 per hour.
HOURS: Vary, depending on bus trips scheduled
