Legacy Fund

Cleveland Metroparks Legacy Fund is an ideal opportunity for individuals and groups to support Cleveland Metroparks efforts to conserve and preserve its natural resources.   Donations to the Legacy Fund help create a welcome and healthy environment for wildlife, preserve the natural beauty of the "Emerald Necklace," and improve educational opportunities. Projects funded through Legacy donations are selected to enhance the experience of visitors to Cleveland Metroparks. Typical projects might include:

  • Planting trees where they are most needed
  • Purchasing educational items such as reference books, field guides and spotting scopes at nature centers
  • Renewing shrubs and plants in heavily used picnic areas
  • Providing overlooks, fishing platforms and picnic tables

Legacy Fund donations are also a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a special occasion or pay tribute to an individual while helping to conserve and enhance Cleveland Metroparks.

All donors and persons being honored or memorialized will be recognized in Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace Newsletter, and the annual Gift of Nature report.
