The World’s Top Films in Adventure, Environment and Adrenaline Sports Come to Town!
Movies from the renowned Banff Mountain Film Festival are featured in this tour that spans the globe and reaches about 270 locations in 30 countries. The tour makes a stop at the Allen Theater in Playhouse Square Center for an exclusive showing in Northern Ohio on Friday, April 11 & Saturday, April 12. The Cleveland showing of the film festival showcases different films and a reception each evening.
The festival kicks off with Friday’s Opening Night Reception, featuring appetizers, beer and dessert. Light appetizers will be served for Saturday’s reception. There is a cash bar on both nights. The receptions, which run from 6 to 7:30 p.m., include exhibits of interest to outdoor enthusiasts and prize sign-ups. The films (different each night) start at 7:30 p.m.
Initiated in 2007, the High Altitude Party, held in the balcony of the Allen, returns in 2008! High Altitude ticket holders will be treated to an assortment of guest goodie bags, live music, beers, and more. Tickets to this special section are limited, so be sure and reserve your space early.
Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.theedgefilms.com, at Playhouse Square, at Geiger's in Chagrin Falls and Lakewood, or Spin in Willoughby and Lakewood. Advance ticket prices, thru April 1, are: $25-$35. Ticket prices will increase $5 each on 4/1/08 and will be available on-line or at Playhouse Square Center only.
