Discover hawks, eagles and owls during this special weekend featuring computer demonstrations, exhibits, crafts, a book display, photography show, demonstrations, live animal presentations, hikes, videos and more.

Saturday, February 6  (10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)
10 a.m. – Birds of Prey Hike – Join a naturalist for a hike in raptor country. Bald eagle, peregrine falcons, red tailed hawks and other daytime raptors have been nesting in the Rocky River Valley. Bring your binoculars and try to spot one of these elegant hunters.  10 – 11 a.m.  at Cottonwood Picnic Area

1 – 1:30 p.m. – Birds of Prey Bingo – Try your luck at bingo with a wild twist.

1:30 – 2 p.m. – Hunters of the Air Puppet Show – The Trailside Puppeteers present a fun and educational puppet show on the winged hunters of the air.

2 – 3 p.m. – "Hawks: Sun Loving Killers" live animal program with Lake Erie Nature and Science Center's Dave Wolf

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – "Owls: Hunters of the Night" live animal program with Lake Erie nature and Science Center's Dave Wolf

6:30 – 8:30 p.m. – "P.M. in the Park" – When the sun sets, the forest becomes a wholly different place than during the day. Do something different this Saturday evening -- join Naturalist Bethany Majeski on a nighttime discovery hike. Discover the fun of outdoor exploration on a chilly winter night!

Sunday, February 7  (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
10 a.m. – Birds of Prey Hike – Join a naturalist for a hike in raptor country. Bald eagle, peregrine falcons, red tailed hawks and other daytime raptors have been nesting in the Rocky River Valley. 1:30 – 2 p.m. – Hunters of the Air Puppet Show – The Trailside Puppeteers present a fun and educational puppet show on the winged hunters of the air.

2 – 3 p.m. – “The Ancient Sport of Falconry” – Join licensed falconers Don Jessie, Al Lang and Jeff Reibe for a fascinating look at hunting with raptors.  The birds you will meet are all highly trained, very beautiful, and deadly.

3;30 – 4:30 p.m. – Raptor Rehab – Laura Jordan from the Medina Raptor Center will show us first hand what it take to get an injured raptor back on its …wings.
