"NATURE AT NIGHT"
Night time is the right time for a little shut eye, unless you’re a nocturnal animal.
Experience the park after dark, and discover the night life at Cleveland Metroparks “Nature at Night” event.
The free “Nature at Night” event celebrates the beauty of the night and all the nocturnal residents. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities related to the night, including live nocturnal animal programs, astronomy and stargazing through telescopes, songs and stories around a roaring campfire, children’s crafts, and night hikes.
Nighttime revelers can enjoy the ‘nighttime animal’ maze, night insect discovery area, special natural history presentations, and more! Visitors can also browse the great merchandise selections of EarthWords Nature Shops, and enjoy the refreshment area.
Outdoor Movie Over the Hedge
9 p.m.
Enjoy a movie on the lawn at 9 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and watch the 2006 movie “Over the Hedge.”
Traveling raccoon con artist, RJ, arrives in the woods outside a human city only to
find that the animals living there are deathly afraid of people. With encouragement from RJ the local animals slowly venture over the hedge into the buffet that is the suburbs in this fast paced animated comedy.
