Cleveland Metroparks All Purpose Trails


Get out on a Cleveland Metroparks Trail.
All purpose, bridle, hiking, and physical fitness trails are located throughout the Park District and offer excellent opportunities for walking, running, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, cycling, and in-line skating.

All Purpose Trails
Cleveland Metroparks provides over 60 miles of paved, all purpose trails for cycling, walking, running and in-line skating. Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the all purpose trails.

Bedford Reservation

Entrances are off Button, Dunham, Egbert, and Willis roads.

Gravel-based Trail: 5 mile trail from Alexander Road in Walton Hills to Highland Road connecting with a 20-mile bike trail that serves the MetroParks of Summit County.

Gorge Parkway Trail; 5.25-mile trail from Alexander Road in Walton Hills along Overlook Lane, Gorge Parkway, and Egbert Lane to Union Street in Bedford and connecting with South Chagrin Reservation via Hawthorn Parkway.

 Big Creek Reservation

Entrances are off Brookpark, Eastland, Snow, and Stumph roads, W. 130th street, East Bagley, Fowles, and Whitney roads and Valley Parkway.

Big Creek Trail: 7.5-mile trail from Brookpark Road, following Big Creek Parkway, south to Whitney Road and connecting with Mill Stream Run Reservation via Valley Parkway in Strongsville.

 Brecksville Reservation

Entrances are off routes 82 and 21, and Riverview and Parkview roads.

Valley Parkway Trail: 2.9-mile trail along Valley Parkway from Edgerton Road to Ridge Road and a 4.5-mile trail along Chippewa Creek Drive and Valley Parkway from Route 82 to Riverview Road.

 Euclid Creek Reservation

Entrances are off Highland and Green roads.

Euclid Creek Trail: 2.5-mile trail from the Highland Picnic Area in Euclid to Green Road in South Euclid.

 Garfield Park Reservation

Entrances are off Broadway Avenue and Turney Road.

Garfield Park Trail: 2.4 mile trail from Broadway Avenue to Turney Road.

Mill Creek Falls Overlook: 1.5-mile trail along Turney Road to Mill Creek Falls Overlook.

 Hinckley Reservation

Entrances are off Bellus and State roads.

Hinckley Lake Trail: 3-mile loop trail around Hinckley Lake, along West Drive, State Road, East Drive, and Bellus Road in Hinckley Township.

 Huntington Reservation

Entrances are off Lake and Wolf roads.

Porter Creek Trail: 1-mile trail along Porter Creek Drive from Lake Road in Bay Village to Wolf Road, and from Porter Creek Drive east, past the Wolf Picnic Area connecting to the city of Bay Village's bike trail.

 Mill Stream Run Reservation

Entrances are off Routes 42 and 82, Albion, Handle, Lee, Prospect, Eastland, Edgerton, and Bagley roads, South Rocky River Drive and W. 130th Street.

Valley Parkway Trail: 8.5-mile trail from Bagley Road to W. 130th Street with a loop around the Bonnie Park Picnic Area.

 North Chagrin Reservation

Entrances are off SOM Center (Route 91), Chagrin River and Chardon roads.

Buttermilk Falls Parkway Trail: 4-mile trail from Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills, south along Buttermilk Falls Parkway in Mayfield Village's trails and two spurs west to SOM Center Road.

Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

Entrance is off E. 49th Street, between Grant Avenue and Canal Road in Cuyahoga Heights.

Towpath Trail: 7.5-mile trail follows the historic Ohio & Erie Canal and connects to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park at Rockside Road.

 Rocky River Reservation

Entrances are off Detroit Road, Riverside Drive, Wooster and Mastick roads, Brookway Lane, Cedar Point, Old Lorain, Spafford, Barrett and Bagley roads, and Shepard Lane.

Valley Parkway Trail: 13-mile trail from the Scenic Park Picnic Area off the Detroit Road entrance in Lakewood, south along Valley Parkway to Bagley Road in Berea, connecting with Mill stream Run Reservation.

 South Chagrin Reservation:

Entrances are off Miles, Chagrin River, SOM Center (Route 91), Cannon, Harper, and Richmond roads.

Hawthorn Parkway Trail: 3.5-mile trail along Hawthorn Parkway from the Harper Ridge Picnic Area, just north of Solon Road in Solon to the Squaw Rock Picnic Area, continuing north to Chagrin River Road with a loop back along Sulphur Springs Drive to Hawthorn Parkway.

 Washington Reservation:

Entrances are off Harvard Avenue, Wahington Park Boulevard and Crete Avenue.

Washington Park Trail: 1-mile trail along Washington Park Boulevard from Harvard Avenue, north to Fleet Avenue and circling the Horticulture Center.
