This winter, experience the thrill of tobogganing at
The Chalet in Mill Stream Run Reservation, located on
Valley Parkway between Routes 42 and 82 in Strongsville
(a short distance from both I-71 and the Ohio Turnpike).
The two 1,000-foot refrigerated ice chutes operate with
or without snow the day after Thanksgiving through the first weekend in March,
weather permitting. In addition to tobogganing, guests
can enjoy the facility with a snack bar, two fireplaces,
a large-screen television, indoor restrooms, and a main
gathering area.
Feeling the need, the need for some winter speed? Then watch the video
Children 11 and under receive $2 off the regular
rates. Tobogganing may be canceled due to weather
and/or ice conditions. No rainchecks or refunds.
A family pass for up to four individuals is available
for $100.
A season pass is available at a cost of $35 for adults
and $25 for children 11 and under. A discount on season
passes is available through December 24, 2008. A $3 one-time
ride ticket is also available. Group rates ($1 off per
person for groups of 20 or more) are available for tobogganing
during public hours and must be scheduled at least two
weeks in advance. Private rental of The Chalet, including
the toboggan chutes, is available during non-public hours.
Rules and Regulations:
Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
All children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride.
All riders must wear gloves or mittens.
Cleveland Metroparks is not responsible for injuries
or personal property.
For your protection, height and safety requirements
will be enforced.
No outside food or beverage permitted inside Chalet
building
Private Toboggan Rental Non-public hours
Private rental entitles your group to exclusive use of the Chalet Recreation Area for a toboggan party. Rental times are offered only during non-public hours. Semi-private rentals are being offered on January 7 and 21 and February 4 and 18 only. Maximum 5 groups or 150 riders.
