Tobogganing

This winter, experience the thrill of tobogganing at The Chalet in Mill Stream Run Reservation, located on Valley Parkway between Routes 42 and 82 in Strongsville (a short distance from both I-71 and the Ohio Turnpike). The two 1,000-foot refrigerated ice chutes operate with or without snow the day after Thanksgiving (noon - 10:30 p.m.) through the first weekend in March, weather permitting. In addition to tobogganing, guests can enjoy the facility with a snack bar, two fireplaces, a large-screen television, indoor restrooms, and a main gathering area. Tobogganing operates the day after Thanksgiving (noon - 10:30 p.m.) through the first weekend in March.

A season pass is available at a cost of $35 for adults and $25 for children 11 and under. A discount on season passes is available through December 24. A family pass for up to four individuals is available.

A $3 one-time ride ticket is also available. Group rates ($1 off per person for groups of 20 or more) are available for tobogganing during public hours and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Private rental of The Chalet, including the toboggan chutes, is available during non-public hours.

Tobogganing may be canceled due to weather and/or ice conditions. No rainchecks or refunds.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride.
  • All riders must wear gloves or mittens.
  • Cleveland Metroparks is not responsible for injuries or personal property.
  • For your protection, height and safety requirements will be enforced.
  • No outside food or beverage permitted inside Chalet building

Private Toboggan Rental Non-public Hours

Private rental entitles your group to exclusive use of the Chalet Recreation Area for a toboggan party. Rental times are offered only during non-public hours. Semi-private rentals are being offered on January 5 and 19 and February 2 and 16 only. Maximum 5 groups or 150 riders.

Private groups may bring food into the Chalet or arrangements can be made prior to your event to have a buffet served. NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED.
